How should I phrase my first message when I find a woman I like and want to contact her?

I have been using:

Hi, I’m Tim. I’ve just read your profile, and you sound interesting.

Let me tell you a bit about me. I’m 28 years old, I am training to be a driving insructor. I like pubs and clubs, I like travelling and going on holiday. I like all music, I like listening to all different bands. Occasionally I chill out at home watching DVDs.

Problem is I’m not getting any replies, I’ve tried contacting lots of women on the website in my quest to find a girlfriend. My profile tells them more about me but they are just not responding. I’m not a bad looking man, I have got a beard which is neat and maybe makes me look older.

I’m not sure if my first message is quite right or is it my profile in general that is not appealing? Is it that my message comes across as laid back, or is that a good thing?

Can anyone out there help me please? How do I word my message to get women interested so they contact me? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Okay, so I lead a fairly busy life. My job isn’t really the best way to meet new girls. I’m not really a ‘club’ or even much of a pub person. I do go to these places but I’m not a drinker, and I’m not too keen on visiting these places to find a girlfriend if I’m being honest.
I find it difficult to meet attractive, single girls living the life I lead right now. In your opinion what is the best way to obtain some dates and meet new women via online dating sites? I know this is a tricky question, but any advice and tips you can offer will be appreciated as I would love to give this a try.

Myself, and a  few other people I know who have used online dating sites all seem to find the exact same thing. We all get little response from any women we try to contact. I would like to know what we are doing wrong? I know there will be a number of the women we try to contact that won’t be subscribed so they won’t be able to reply but even so, the percentage of replies I do get is lower than I expected.

The question is, what are women looking for on these sites? from what I can see, most of these women would be the sort of girls I’ve dated before. Maybe my profile needs looking at? I need some hints and tips please.

Before I decide to use and online dating site, has anyone had any success with them or is meeting people face to face the best way?
